Every aspect of this khimar was carefully designed:
- Its two zippers were designed to also allow for babywearing (a tutorial will be posted, inshaAllah). Positioned at the sides, they can be opened fully or partially, making it easy to expose the breast for breastfeeding
- Its chiffon veil lets you place your baby underneath for even more modesty and comfort. It also hides the two zippers for those who are no longer breastfeeding or don’t have children, for a more elegant look
- It is cut shorter at the front to avoid excess fabric: mothers know that when a baby is hungry, the combination of crying and searching for the abaya zipper under too much khimar fabric can cause panic and stress
It is longer at the back (147cm) to create a cape effect and provide optimal coverage.
⚠️ The shade of the chiffon veil differs from that of the khimar; they are not tone-on-tone.
